Tell us a bit about your company
Honeybuns is a small independent artisan bakery nestled deep in the Dorset countryside. All of our cakes are gluten free and half our range is now vegan with additional dairy free and soy free options. All our cakes are delivered via frozen wholesalers. Honeybuns is a premium foodservice brand and not seen in supermarkets. Our loyal customers include universities, museum cafes, garden centre cafes and B&I sites where the wrapped and tray bake formats work well.
Our values of Accountability, Community and Excellence (ACE) are visible daily in all that we do. For example, each month we run a pop up shop and café where everyone is welcome to meet up over a cuppa. All proceeds are then donated to local charities or go towards our on-site nature reserve. Customer delight is our overarching aim. From how we answer the phone to our impeccably sourced ingredients we want to deliver the best experience possible for the end user.
Being based on an old farm has gifted us the opportunity to create a nature reserve which is home to our rescue donkeys, bee hives and the thousands of trees and hedging plants that we have planted. We are proudly now 100% solar powered (on sunny afternoons) and we can also demonstrate closed recycling loops.
We seek to grow gently and sustainably each year and also to retain our customers, many of whom we have been supplying for over 20 years.
We love to work with businesses who seek thoughtfully made, delicious cakes with outstanding eco credentials

We’re launching 4 brand new recipes:
Pecan & Maple Polenta Cake
Owing to the high percentage of ground almonds this sponge based cake is naturally moist. We don’t skimp on the butter either. The pecans add texture and a biscuity flavour which pairs well with a touch of ginger and cinnamon. Finished with our maple caramel drizzle. Perfect served as a coffee time treat or pud.
Orange & Pistachio Polenta Cake
Inspired by Italian baking traditions, this future classic is packed with ground almonds, butter, orange zest and toasted pistachios and finished with a drizzle of orange icing. Due to the high percentage of ground almonds, this cake is meltingly soft and the very opposite of dry and crumbly. We add pistachios to the sponge and sprinkle some on top for ultimate flavour and texture.
Rocky Road
We’ve dialled up the indulgence with this gloriously retro Rocky Road by adding honeycomb to the recipe. The biscuit pieces are handmade with nibbed almonds and polenta for fabulous texture and flavour. Everything is then generously covered in dark Belgian chocolate and a pinch of salt. Best kept in the fridge and served chilled.
Caramel Blondie
Who doesn’t love a Blondie? Made with Belgian white and milk chocolate plus a generous serving of ground almonds our version is super indulgent. With a hint of caramel flavour and a touch of salt, this new classic showcases the layered flavours and textures Honeybuns is known for.
Do come and try any or all of the above at the show.
