The Café Life Awards 2017 are organised by the Café Society and take place at the end of the first day of lunch!
Supported by lunch! they are the premier awards ceremony celebrating the leading operators in the café industry, and provide a great opportunity to unwind and network with industry contacts.
The awards take place on 21 September at The Grange City Hotel. The event is hosted by celebrity chef Theo Randall and recognises excellence in the important UK café and coffee bar sector. Judged by a panel of industry professionals, the awards are intended to inspire by example, by highlighting those involved in the sector who are pioneering and leading the market, whether in the development of new products or the creation of excellence in the high street.Find out more about the awards here
Challenge Finals at lunch!
As a pre-cursor to the Café Life Awards, the 2017 Café Life Awards Challenge Finals will be held again at lunch! Like last year the finals will also be the centrepiece for a host of Café Life activity taking place in the BSA Hospitality Suite (South Gallery Room 8).
Heading up the panel of judges this year will be celebrity chef Theo Randall. Theo will be taking to the main stage at 10.15am for a live interview with BSA’s Gethin Evans where they will discuss promoting innovation in the Sandwich & Food to Go industry. From 11am Café Life will be hosting a drinks reception in the BSA Hospitality Suite (South Gallery Room 8) as a prelude to the live challenges which start shortly after.
The Live Challenges this year include the Da Vinci Gourmet Speciality Drink Challenge, the Florette Food to Go Challenge, the Norseland Toasted Cheese Sandwich Challenge, New York Bakery Croll Challenge and the judging of the Café New Drink Innovation Award.
The Live Challenges provide the perfect arena to network and connect with new and existing contacts from across the industry whilst sampling some of the bespoke dishes and drinks and the keynote ingredients used to create the recipes.Find out more about the Café Life challenges
